Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about our Cantonese and Mandarin programs, lessons, and teachers.

We specifically design our curriculum for children aged 5 to 10. We divide this range into two groups: Ages 5–7 (play-based immersion) and Ages 8–10 (interactive reading & writing). Regardless of age, all lessons are 25 minutes long to maximize focus and interactive speaking time.

Yes! We offer separate, fully dedicated learning tracks for both Mandarin (Putonghua) and Cantonese. You can enroll your child in either stream, or choose to split classes if your child has heritage background in both.

Not at all. We teach children of all levels. We have customized paths starting from complete beginners (zero Chinese background at home) up to heritage speakers who understand the dialect but need support speaking fluently.

We offer both formats. Private 1-on-1 lessons are customized to your child's exact learning pace and goals. Small group lessons (2–4 kids) are collaborative and peer-driven, ideal for siblings or friends wanting to learn together.

Lessons are conducted online using Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. We will confirm the platform with you and send the parent the private meeting link before the lesson.

Every teacher on our team is a native speaker (Mandarin or Cantonese) who has undergone rigorous vetting, background checks, and teaching qualification reviews. Most importantly, we select tutors who demonstrate warmth, patience, and experience in kids' online education.

We don't just assign any tutor. During your initial consultation, we learn about your child's personality (shy vs. active), language levels, hobbies (like sports or drawing), and preferred dialect/accent. We then match them with the teacher whose personality and style best align with your child.

Getting started is simple! Reach out to us via email or phone. We will coordinate a brief intake conversation to learn about your child's interests, goals, and matching requirements, then schedule your first lesson slot.

Your child will need a stable internet connection, a quiet room, and a device with a working webcam and microphone. We recommend a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet/iPad with access to Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. We will confirm the platform before the lesson.

We offer highly flexible scheduling options. Lessons can be booked for after-school hours on weekdays, or throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. We coordinate with you to find a recurring slot that fits your routine.

We offer competitive packages tailored to your chosen class frequency (e.g., once or twice a week) and lesson format (private vs. group). Because we customize the schedule and curriculum for each child, please contact our team via phone or email for a detailed quote.

Enrolling is simple! Just head to our Contact Us page, and send us an email or call our team directly. We will schedule a brief 10-minute phone call to understand your goals, match you with a teacher, and set up your child's first class.
